Sino-Dutch Seminar Held in DICP

  A seminar of the "Sino-Dutch Center for Preventive and Personalized Medicine(SDCPPM)" was held in DICP on 2nd and 3rd of July. Present in the seminar were Mr. XING Jijun, Head of the European Division of International Cooperation Bureau, the Ministry of Science & Technology(MST) of China, Mr. Luc Rietveld, Director of International Cooperation Bureau of Dutch Genomics Institute, as well as Dutch scientists from TNO, Leiden University, Oxride BV, Max-Planck-Institut, and research scientists from DICP.

  Mr. Xing Jijun first addressed the opening ceremony and highly appraised the extensive and fruitful cooperation between the Chinese and Dutch scientists. Mr. Luc Rietveld also talked on behalf of the Dutch side. He retrospected the development course of this Sino-Dutch cooperation program, and hoped that both sides will attain a win-win goal in cooperative researches of bio-medicine and relevant fields.

  This was the second seminar after the establishing of the SDCPPM which is part of the "international cooperation program on Chinese medicine" of the MST of China. The aim of the SDCPPM is to conduct personalized medicine investigations basing on systematic biology and metabolics technologies. The seminar was co-chaired by Prof. XU Guowang of DICP and Dr. Mei Wang (on behalf of Prof. J. van der Greef) of the Dutch side.
